Door sagging may just be an adjustment. If hinges are worn, take them to a machine shop and have them re drilled and new pins fitted and reamed to size. I had mine done and total cost was less than the cost of one new hinge.

Thanks Roger, I have a feeling Walloth&Nesh will send me a cake in a while. I think I'll start ordering stuff in a years time as the bodywork will need to be finished first.

Now let's focus on Kinetik's work.

Haha, I was pretty serious about the topic in the fact i couldn't stand this car's beeen sitting so long.

So, everything I needed to complete the job showed up except the New Fuel Injectors.

So I said screw it and decided to get the tank put back in and install the new pump anyways.

    Things Completed

    - new Inline pump
    - new Fuel Filter
    - New Shitty Hose Clamps I should have kept the BMW ones. " They blew off when i first started the car " So I don't really trust them atm.
    - New Intank Pump
    - New Evap Lines
    - New Fuel Lines 12mm feed 5/16(7.9)mm Fuel Injection Hose and 6mm Evap
    - New Fuel Cap
    - New Rubbber Grommet around fuel filler.

-- End Result.. The car runs FANTASTIC. even with out the new fuel injectors I couldn't believe how much pep the car has.

I feel like it gained 100 HP compared to the car I used to own. I pulled up to the gas station put some 89 in and couldn't believe how dirty she is looks like a true barn find

Only bad thing with out an exhaust this car sounds SOOO loud. I thought i was going to get the cops called to my driveway.

In reinstalling your steering wheel did the SRS light go out? i replaced my wheel on my 88' M6 and the light won't go out.
Thanks and great to see the work to get it back on the road.

So, my SRS light is on and I plan to keep it on. last year I hit a small bump in the road and the airbag blew up in my face. was not a fun experience. I bought another air bag and just keep it unplugged. 30 year old air bag system not the most reliable.

    1988 M6,
Thank you, I bet that was quite an experience. They have incredible force. I have thought of replacing the stock wheel with a momo or Nardi. Maybe the time to do so and deal with the light.
Thanks again and congratulations on the progress.

My buddy who worked at a dealership would put an airbag steering wheel on the ground face-down and set it off remotely (ran wires to it) - it was extremely impressive to see how high that thing went, and sobering to realize all that force was heading toward your face... I guess better that than nothing in a crash, but it was the only thing I about my E30 and E36 I don't miss...

    Things i've been up to.

installed new delrin gargistic gas pedal bushings. when I was fixing my turn signal stalk i noticed they were shot.
    111 (1).jpg555.jpg

Made actually a big difference in how the gas pedal feels it's much more responsive and firm.

So, my new door molding trim came in from California well.. used trim. it was all sun burnt and beat up so i decided to clean it up by wetsanding it i've done a few pieces but i'm not finished yet here is the result so far.

    444.jpg

Also my hvac panel was broken and a mess. I got another one but it also came broken.. so that was a waste of 100 bucks... they supposedly sending me "good sliders"

    222.jpg333.jpg

Still waiting on new exhaust It's been shipped and on the way..!!!

$3? Still reasonable enough IMHO to shell out for however many are needed, but the 3d printer will be useful when those parts go to $60/ea like this one, which is what prompted me to get a 3d printer.

Thats always good. What sort of filament are you going to use for the part? The original looks like nylon.
