Necessary to replace VANOS bolt a second time if need to adjust it?

I just finished installing new VANOS bolts after having the units both removed to fix broken head bolts. I aligned everything with the locking tools, but then did a final check after removing them, by rotating the crankshaft two turns and then trying to put the tools back on. The exhaust camshaft was slightly off-position, so in order to install the camshaft lock tool, I had to turn the crank slightly farther and then back slightly. I'm thinking I should remove the exhaust bolt, rotate the exhaust cam slightly, and reinstall the bolt. But would that mean I would need to buy yet another new bolt?

According to BMW, yes, you do. They are torque to yield bolts. In reality, probably not, but that's just a risk I wouldn't take for the price of a cheap bolt.
