E36 M3, dinan supercharger, how many pound injectors??

Hey guys, I just picked up a dinan SC 1997 m3 and am trying to n figure out the setup and what belongs & doesn't belong. I will be replacing coils, spark plugs, and Injectors. It looks like green injectors are in there now "Tomco" and I'm wondering if they are correct for this setup, also if the Dinan SC calls for 28.8lb Tomco injectors. Any insight would be great as this is my first SC (20th e36 m3) car and I'm a little lost. Any links where I can purchase them also would be great. Thanks!!

So the original dinan kit uses 28.8# injectors and a t9 turbo scalar.

We have an upgrade tune and maf for the 28.8 that runs the car much much better.

They are 30lb D1720BA and AA Lucas injectors, Zack. 28.8# was for a 2.5bar fuel pressure for some CARB certification reason. As you know, all injectors are rated at 3bar of pressure, hence the 30lb or 315cc true flow rate.

Thanks for the input guys, especially Braymond, you have been great help. Any special valve cover gasket required (that holds more pressure or what not) for supercharged setup or would OEM work?

Stock. I’m not sure what you are expecting to hear otherwise for a valve cover gasket. Did you mean head gasket?!

Just out of curiosity- are you running the powerdyne or vortech unit? I have a powerdyne myself and would love to be able to share thoughts and opinions with someone using the same unit. I personally wish mine wasn’t a powerdyne as I’ve read more bad than good (although the probability is greater that you’d hear more about the bad when people sought out a place to vent).

Do you have a tune for an OBD-1 Dinan with 30 lb Lucas injectors using a powerdyne at 1O psi, intercooled? Early Sept 94 model without EWS. Not happy with Dinan tune during warmup cycle. Before coolant temp outside blue area. At high altitude in Colorado.

If you were asking me, we can absolutely help. I messaged you.

For a 10psi setup we recommend a bump in injector size.

A powerdyne at 6psi is already at ~85% duty cycle with the dinan injectors.

I am surprised you can get 10 psi from a Powerdyne through an intercooler at 5000 feet altitude.
