    2019 Aussie GP

Just finished FP1, you can watch on the espn app. Times on the top three are very close, 0.038 to 2nd, and 0.076 to 3rd. Verstappen .2 back in 4th.
The Renault looks very slow, as do McLaren, and Williams. Alfa Romeo and TR, could be the new Haas....

FP2 at 1am, not being shown on tv, at least not here in NY.

Yeah, interesting practice. After FP2, i think Ferrari is sandbagging and are still the team to beat. Merc looking close behind. RB surprises even with that crappy engine. Alfa looking strong. I think theyll lead the midfield. Williams crap as usual, too bad Kubica had to come back to that.

Williams is 5 seconds slower, 1.8 to the McLaren. 107% rule stil applies?

A bit late, espn had the sky broadcast http://123tvnow.com/watch/espn/

Well done Bottas, well deserved. Merc 1-2. Early stop for thug and legend did not work out. WTF happened to Ferrari pace. Leclerc prevented from overtaking the thug. Stroll and Kvyat did ok, Gasly sucked.

The whole race sucked. Even less overtaking than last year.... Leclerc couldn't hang with Verstappen, then run off track by himself, ferrari pace dissapeared. (Or never was there pace) Crap strategies like always. Honda surprised me, i was expecting a Kablamo, instead it were the Renaults.....

and Haas has another wheel nut problem? I don't want to whine too much but I still dislike the halo, still want more noise, miss refueling, and still think DRS is stupid and gimmicky (or let them deploy it whenever they want). Also, can we get something other than the Sky feed (the trackside folks are especially annoying).

Oh well. Whine hat off. It's good to have F1 back.

How on earth did Gasly not overtake Kvyat? Radio made it sound like a software problem but it still doesn't make sense. Glad to see Magnussen pull off a great result for Haas! Really like the addition of fastest lap adding a point and the drama it will add to the end of the race, but in the end if Ferrari doesn't have pace to battle Mercedes this season is going to be quite boring.

I have no idea why Ferrari didn’t pit Leclerc and give him a shot at fastest lap. Seemed like a wasted opportunity to steal a point from their rivals.

Disappointing weekend for Ferrari. At least Hamilton didn't win.

I'm more disappointed that they didn't let him race Vettel.

I don't want to sound like a debbie downer, but holy smokes was that a bad looking start to the season for not only Ferrari, but all Ferrari powered cars..

Someone on planetf1 said Ferrari had to turn down the engines due to overheating. But on the Ferrari website or their instagram didn't say anything about it. I hope it was just a fluke since Australia is such a weird raxe

Packaging issue with the engine perhaps? Or a design flaw..

I saw the trap speeds and I don't think there was a Ferrari powered car in the top 10.

Hass was actually faster and catching up both Ferraris.

For whatever reason my phone does not like that link. Guys over on ferrarichat are dissecting all of the lap times, and the only part I saw was where they were describing the disastrous speed trap and corner exit times

From what I gather in my ADHD video watching abilities, they're attributing more of the lack of speed to grip/setup...

Lots of posts on F-Chat showing the drivers lifting off at the end of the straights, and not pushing on exit presumably due to the electrical system not charging quickly enough, or draining too quickly. In qualifying someone mentioned Kimi advised his pitwall that he had something wrong "with the K" on his Alfa.
