No; no thanks. As I've said recently in the posts about sticking with the Style 66s; I've said that the Touring, for me, rides & handles the best on the 66s over the 18" Style 37s and LMs I've had etc
I'm also not a fan of the Style 65s; they're a bit too busy for my liking and the asking prices for them here in the UK tend to be laughable at best

I too find the E39 behaves best on 17" rims and tyres.
As stated, love your touring.
Diehard E39 driver.
I'd rather die or take a walk before driving an E60 or any BMW made after Y2K.

I have two sets of style 37’s, I love the look, but they are HEAVY, love the style 66

That they are… I really well waxed mine before putting them onto the touring & now, just with a simple snowfoam and rinse, they come up as new

That they are
There was a real marked difference in acceleration and handling when I went from the E38 Style 37s to my Style 66s

Quick update:
I've been slowly but surely DIY 'undersealing' the car as E39s inn the UK like to fizz in the rain As mines hailed from the hotter & drier climate of Japan, I want to keep it rust free like it is currently...
So far the front wheel arches, inner wings and both sills have been thoroughly cleaned & undersealed using Lanoguard that we have here in the UK. I didn't want to go down the black, sticky mess of the likes of Waxoyl, Dinatropl, Bilt Hamber etc and after doping my research, I settled on Lanoguard
The wheel arch lines were fully cleaned (brand new last year), treated & refitted
Sills were also heavily doused in the Lanoguard; all the original jacking points were removed, the underseal liberally applied via the long reach nozzle and hose and then once it'd dried off a bit; all new OEM jacking pads were refitted:
I'll get the rears done later this week hopefully as long as it stays dry!
Today I've removed all the tailgate plastics and cleaned under them (it was disgusting with grime); the wire loom is all in superb health thankfully and theres no corrosion of the metal underneath; a well known area to rust on UK cars! All the clips were broken before I got the car; so I've used 3M trim tape to hold the plastics down again; enough to hold them down but not OTT so that they can't be removed again
A boring update I know but there's always bits to do!
A steering wheel re-trim and an upgraded and modified BM54 amp to be sorted next; oh an all new plush car mats
