Sad day... are they running any clearance sales by chance?
WTH??? I just deleted some emails from them a few hours ago?!?
Set the controls for the heart of the sun
No more Show & Shine events, free beer, and lunch.
Maybe all my BavAuto shirts will be priceless, lol.
The owners did have some high end cars. One guy had a nice Z8.
Peake Research also closed down

Woah that's upsetting. They did some good in their space.

The site is up - with the message that they are done.
I have a timing belt cover upper and lower gasket (E32) and a couple of seals on order. I sent them an email and they answered. Said it would be filled with my order number. What a shame. Been using them since 87 when the warranty on my E23 ran out. Who's ever gonna forget that number 535-2002. Just horrible.

Their website was soooo bad for so long that I can't help but feel it really put them way behind. Their prices weren't low enough to justify it, either. It's a shame; they had some of the best DIY videos I've seen for BMWs.

Or getting up at 4AM to drive there so I could be in line to get a front parking lot space when they opened the gate.
There were always 400+ cars at the Show & Shine event.
One year I won a nice set of Gear Wrenches.
last year, while parked at a local hospital for the afternoon, when i returned to my car found a bavauto mag under my windshield wiper with "get to know these guys" written on it.

Unfortunately their prices were never competitive enough nor did they offer a lifetime warranty to make it worth waiting forever to ship from the northeast to Arizona. And their website redesign was too little too late. I will miss their DIY vids though, they were great.

Based on the lack of customer service I received, I'm not surprised. They had a lot of goodies, and I wanted to deal with them, but 2 strikes and you're out.
They had nice floor mats but didn't seem too interested in competing for the "hard parts" business. They pimped me on a warranty once so not sorry to see them fail.
