Hi! This is my first post on this forum.
I have a 97' BMW E39 540 with post facelift aftermarket headlights with Xenon low beam lights. Everything else is still halogen. Now the sad part is that here in Sweden our cars have to go through a car inspection every year and for the first time in 12 years they've complained about that my xenons are aftermarket and can't be automaticly adjusted. So I figured I'd just switch to halogen light bulbs and put on the Xenon's when the car's approved. Is it possible to just switch the xenon bulbs to halogen? Or do I have to make any adjustments?
Many thanks,,
Hi Em62!
Welcome to the forum!
I suggest you post in the E39 section as this one is for car audio and associated electronics. You won't be able to just switch out the bulbs, the differences between Halogen and Xenon headlamps prevent that. You could pick up a set of halogen headlamps, do the switcheroo come inspection time and then switcheroo back once approved.
Cheers, Dennis!
