    E30 Will not go into higher Rpms

    My car is a 1987 325i the car was running great but today I was driving it and it really didnÂ’t want to go above 3800 rpms it would bog and sputter badly and the check engine light then came on so I drove home and turned it off and then back on and check engine light went off. Really donÂ’t know what it could be have recently done a lot of work to get it running good just looking for a place to start on what it could be
