    Sports package

Hey guys, I’m extremely new and I have a 96’ convertible. I just got it and it has a “sports package on it.” I’ve done my best to find out what this means and besides the Recaro seats, I can’t find any information on it. Any help is appreciated.

you can run the last 7 digits of the VIN yourself online, it will probably tell you this :

    337 M SPORTS PACKAGE

M sport front/ rear bumper, twisty sideksirts, mirrors, sport seats with extenadble thigh support < not recaro seats
    and i think "16" style 30 wheels.

    704 M SPORT SUSPENSION

different shocks, lowered springs -20mm, thicker sway bars front/ rear

    could have forgotten something.

@SimonJD Thanks man that was really helpful. I didn’t know that they weren’t Recaro seats, I guess they just look very similar. You seem pretty knowledgeable, do you know how rare it is to find a hard top for one of these?

I see you are located in the us, they do cost more than here in NL / EU.
Be sure to check for hardtop retrofit preparation in your 328i, this you can find on your vin list to.
or you can check in the rear if the hardtop preparation is there, without this you will have no mounting points / wiring harness for your (future) hardtop.

@simonJD surprisingly enough, I just got a hardtop. And along with it an old 323i for about 1700. A real steal. Had to get it from out in Texas. 22 hour drive. Project number 2 now.
