Although this may be old news to some of you, there is a software update available from NavCoder dated 02/13/2018, version 3.0.5. I had version 2.8.35 from 2010.
In addition to cosmetic changes and bug fixes, it looks like there are some feature updates too. Of interest to me was Clear Fault Codes.

With my previous version, I could only read faults but not clear them. Too bad a plain text fault library has not been included to interpret the meaningless hex fault codes. I cleared a few faults in my TCU and they were gone. I'll have to follow-up to see if they return though.
Another new feature was for Navigation: disc lock for fleet use. This prevents people from ejecting the nav disc. The ReadMe file also states that setting the nav Region to anything but U.S. or Australia will disable the annoying "lawyer" screen. I tried this and found it works...but also affects other things. For example, it removes the "Emergency" menu option and changes nav scale readouts from fractions of a mile (1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, etc) to yards (450 yards, 900 yards). I think this would also affect SES voice commands which listen for commands like "Scale 1/4 of a mile". So I changed Region back to U.S. (MK4s have lawyer screens which disappear after 8 seconds anyway.)
The many improvements seem to make the update worthwhile. If you already have a licensed version, the same license applies to updates (no need to pay again).

Has anyone noticed that there are two pull down menus in the DSP section giving you options to what it looks like the HPF(??) crossover point for the bass? The problem is that there is no option to "write" or save the choice so I wonder why the pick capability.
