Hi,
I am selling my 1995 E34 525i5 with only 93,400 miles on the clock. A few months ago, I picked it up from my grandmother's neighbors (who had replaced it and didn't know what to do with it). However, I also have an E39, which, while not as old as the E34, is also aging. So, I've decided to sell the E34 and possibly replace it with something newer (an E90?) eventually.
The Craigslist ad can be found here: https://maine.craigslist.org/cto/d/r...835933687.html
The car has a decent amount of issues, but most of them are cosmetic and are pretty simple (read: cheap) to fix. In addition to what is listed in the Craigslist ad, the door seals have shrunk and detached. I plan on fixing the door seals prior to selling.
I am asking $3,000, which I think is fair, given the rarity of the manual transmission and low milage, but also taking into account the issues it has. Ask any questions. Thanks for looking!

I wish this was in NY, I would be all over this.

Well, NY isn't too far from Maine... road trip?? I actually have to drive to Saratoga Springs on March 23, and if the car is still available then (and if you are still interested), maybe we could make a plan to meet up? I'd love to get a close look at your S52-swapped E39!

Still for sale, and photos added here. Since I took down the Craigslist listing (I was traveling), I've added the information from the listing here:
*New coolant level sender
*New driver side thrust arm
*Car just passed inspection
This is a 1995 E34 525i with only 94,000 miles and a 5-speed manual. The car is Oxford Green over gray leather. Rare car with low milage. The outside of the oil pan looks dry and I haven't seen any oil leakage or consumption. It has a few issues as outlined below, but I plan on fixing some of them prior to selling.
Issues:
- Torn intake boot
- There is a clunk in the rear suspension, and I suspect that most of the suspension is original.
- Auxiliary pulleys and belt are making noise (I have the new parts, and will install with time).
- The driver side fender and door have evidence of past body work.
- According to the P.O., the air conditioning doesn't work, but I haven't tested it personally.
- There is a small crack in the rear bumper (pictured).
- One of the wheels is missing the center cap (pictured).
- Missing plastic trim by passenger side fog light, and rear bumper tow hook cover.
- There is an area of oxidization on the hood--likely could be buffed out (pictured).
- Passenger seat heater doesn't seem to work.
- Only two TINY spots of corrosion--one beneath the rear tail light (from a chip in the paint) and one on the driver front fender (just a small, quarter-sized bubble in the paint). Both of these could be remedied very easily, as neither of them are more than surface corrosion. NO RUST elsewhere! There are scratches around, but none are very deep and I think could largely be buffed out.
I am trying to be as transparent as possible with the car's current condition. Aside from the issues listed above, the car is in very good shape, and is a very solid drive. The previous owners used it during the summer months only, and didn't drive it that much. I think it will benefit most from being used (only 94k miles in 24 years!). All dash pixels work. The interior is in good shape, and the seats are very comfortable. I am selling because I also have an E39 530i, and don't have time to use/deal with two aging BMWs. I would like to get around $3,000 (which I think is fair given the rarity but also the current issues). Don't hesitate to call/text with any questions. If I don't answer, please leave a message and I will respond. Thanks! Make me an offer!
