There are 3 versions of the e23 manual pedal box, & at least 3 of the auto box.

265/6 transmission. I have an '85, so I located an '85 pedal box and an '85 transmission just to be safe.

Working slowly. I was looking for E23 specific clutch line, but ended up making a hard line to fit a $24 E30 line. I put in a new master while it was out. Any pics out there of a stock mounted reservoir placement for the manual E23? Mounting points/brackets?

    Thumbs up

Driver strut mount area. Close to firewall. Factory thing is a little spot welded guy, not much to it and has a clamp around the reservoir to secure it to the mount.

I can try to get some photos of my clutch fluid reservoir and post them up. It was pretty cheap to buy a brand new one from BMW when I was redoing my clutch hydraulics.

Thanks, that would be helpful. I ordered a new reservoir and slave cylinder to just go ahead and make it all fresh.

The OE spec hose is cloth braided, do that too.

See if you can locate that company that made me 265/6 shifter plate mounts of solid aluminum. or make some. Big difference in shift quality. Use a solid rear mount too from an air cleaner. Those alone remove a ton of slop.

I liked my UUC shifter, but many think it is too short. I had some MZ3? one I liked decently too.

Oh, I also had a clutch pedal stop button from somewhere. It was nice.

3.46:1 is a decent ratio match for all around on it. I had a 3.91:1 and was fun. Car always did 15mpg city only. 8:1 B34, Dsylva chip.

I have a 4.10 in it right now. I figured I'd have a little fun before I reseal my large case 3.42. More progress today. Check out my badass Chinese keyless entry.

Thank you sir. I need to mount it, but everything is together and bled. Also picked up a new throttle cable.

Sorry for the poor quality. I was going to stack some wheels under the diff and front subframe as well.

The shifter plate tab was already on there, I love 80's Euro models.

The US models also seem to have that tab even if they were automatic, I am working on an 84 733 manual swap and the tab was there. I was also relieved to see it

For some reason the wood part doesn't fit in the console. I hate to cut this thing up.

Test drive was a success! 1st is stupid low with the 4.10 rear, but fun. I will be putting my stock 3.42 large case back in before I take it on a road trip. I'm turning +/- 3 grand at 70mph in 5th. I'm still bummed the console wood doesn't fit properly.
