Attended a local Classic Car show on Sunday, and took the opportunity to park my CSi beside two other iconic coupes from yesteryear - E9 3.0 CSi and E24 M635 CSi.
Also note the Isetta in the background of the second pic - it formed the centerpiece of our Club display.
Current:
1994 E31 850CSi Sterlingsilber/Anthracite Buffalo
Previous:
1987 E28 M5 Delphin
1986 E23 M745iA Arctic Blue
1986 E24 635CSi Polaris
1976 E3 3.0 Si Arctic Blue
You can really see the lineage between the cars in those pictures which carried on with the E32 but fizzled out soon after.....

i prefer the E9 !... ..
I am not sure if people are aware of this but, the Isetta was originally designed and built by ISO in Italy. BMW bought the design from Iso. ISO originally made refrigerators, home appliances, and scooters. After WWII Iso made the Isetta and eventually the Iso Rivolta, the Iso Lele, the Iso Fidia, and the well known Iso Griffo. They also made the Bizzarinni. Giotto Bizzarinni was one of their designers. I believe today the son of Renzo Rivolta, Piero, builds high end power and sailboats in Sarasota Florida.
Nice. Makes me want an E24 again.
