LCM change/program F30 328i

Hi I went to the agency and they told me they had to change the LCM (Light Control Module). They were charging me around 1200 dollars for the part and labor. I found the part online much cheaper but can someone explain the process of replacing and programming (if it is needed). If I bought a repair manual would this have the instructions to do it? My car is a F30 BMW 328i 2012
