I've decided to replace the rims on my 87 M6: I would like to keep the original way of installing them, without ring adaptors or spacers etc. Any idea if a deep dish would fit? Suggestions?
Thank you.
Those old-school deep-dish wheels are spendy, but they're out there. I'd be looking for something period-correct like BBS RS, RA or even a set of 16" Southern Ways if you can find them. The E24 M6 can't accept any really wide wheels, but IIRC you can get a pretty good sized 18" to fit in there. Ride quality may suffer but the car will look a little more modern.
Save the manuals!

For many discussions on rims, search this forum for "typical replacement rim."
shoot me a PM with contact info, I have a set of 16X8 Ronal R9 wheels that are in perfect condition if interested. ET is 11, perfect for that car.
I've got some Rad Centra type 7 if you're interested
