I came across this BMW 507 replica tonight. I had no idea there was such a thing. These guys, if they are legit, seem to have done something interesting. They leverage the extensive Cobra kit car market for the under pinnings, but have the BMW body. Only one photo that I can find. Says it is set up for a BMW inline 6.

507?
BMW must have been following a different model code otherwise the OEM engine would be .7 litres.
Very interesting though.
no
that was seriously THE DUMBEST THING EVER SAID
next thing i expect you to say is that the isetta doesn't have an engine (though at 15hp i can't blame u)
or the 1500 or 2000tii have .00 ci displacements
seriously the dumbest thing EVER SAID
there's this class called history you should have been paying attention in rather than ogling mrs.heart (though she did have great ASSets)

Jeff, in the famous words of Gawain, "It's only a model". The 507 or SLR would be a hoot to drive if the chassis is decent. It concerns me that they talk about dropping the door sills on the SLR so avoid that nasty step in from the gull wings....

Who here can say they have been in a 507?
That's right I have. In fact I seem to have a picture of Cory sitting in it also....

Thansk
damn I wish I didn't say anything, i just wanted to post something because no one else was replying to the thread.
Now there is a big argument...and nothing I can do.
And here's the dumb thing of the day for July 14th. Getting an early start, eh?
Paperplane, go check that Wikipedia site and enjoy learning about what is one of the most beautiful, influential road cars of all time. I'd walk through fire to get a few miles logged in one (or its spiritual successor, the Z8).

I do like the 507 but lets be rational here. The E-Type and 300SL Gullwing/Roadster and still above it on the hierarchy of beautiful things automotive.
I have seen a few 300SLs in person, the most recent was at the German car fest in Vancouver this year. Here is a photo. You just can not do this car justice in pictures.
The lady in the photo is the owner, and yes, she drove it to the meet.

If we're going to get into a "must beautiful car of all time" pissing contest let's not forget the 550 Spyder and the e65 BMW.

Kris,
Yea at that guys shop. Or collection you might say. The offer to see some really cool cars is open to anyone who comes out. Some stuff that you will never have the chance to see again.....if only I was allowed to post pictures. But he asked for us not to so I gotta respect that.
