Driving home from work last night and my right side wiper stopped working. The left side works, but seems to hesitate a bit, and seems like it wants to rip right off. What is the likelihood that it is the motor? I haven't had time to look at the fuses or the relays, it's kind of a blizzard out right now. Thank you for the help in advance.

Looking for a bit of help. Driving home last night, snowing considerably, my right side wiper failed to switch on. My left side is working, but acts as if it wants to rip from it's arm. I have not checked the fuses or relays as I haven't the time at the moment. Question is, what is the likelihood that it is a relay and not the motor? Thank you in advance.

There is one electric motor for both wipers. The wipers are connected by linkage. Something in that linkage mechanism has broken. Here’s the wiper parts link: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=61_1070

Check the nut that holds the arm on they do come loose after that it would have to be a linkage problem
