I've had a couple of E36's with more damage repaired with awesome results. Too bad about the accident, however. GLWS!

You can definitely get coverage on ANYTHING collectible. I have my 2001 Mustang GT covered. It's lower miles but far from "special" or "rare".
Am I stupid or has the car been repaired at the body shop? I'm guessing no and the first pic is just what it looked like before, and the pictures after are of it post wreck - pre damage repair?
EDIT: I'm stupid.
I misread and was expecting front damage as well... What did bodyshop quote you to repair, that looks pretty minor to me?

Soooo when the part out?
If you look at the right 1/4 it’s slightly higher than the trunk. It looks as if the right frame rail was pushed up slightly. A proper repair would be to pull the rail and section the damaged piece in at the non damaged spot welds (if the rail has them in a good spot). This is still a great deal for someone who is inclined to do the work themselves or has someone. GLWS!

Hey everyone, was working with a member on this thread who showed interested over a month ago and provided a down payment. Sorry for not responding to everyone sooner and I appreciate the support and genuine interest in the car. It has now been sold. I am sad to see it go but it's going to a good home. Thanks!
