2012 f10 DRIVETRAIN MALF. PLEASE HELP.

Hello all. I have a 2012 535i xdrive. 74k miles. ONLY under hard acceleration in sport mode does this drivetrain malf appear. No check engine, no limp mode, no anything. Just the error message on the screen. Very frustrating. There are no weird noises and before I end up taking it to the dealer I figured I’d ask on here. The code does in fact go away upon immediate restart. If someone could please answer and give me some insight it would be greatly appreciated. I also live in Connecticut and it’s obviously winter here. Idk if that has anything to do with anything.

Nothing you've provided is going to give anyone even a remote chance of guessing what is wrong.. You would be well served to take your vehicle to a competent service facility that employs experienced BMW Master Technicians and await their phone call.

what is the code? Sport Mode makes changes to engine, transmission, and suspension. Hard to tell with what you've provided, but if the car runs and drives ok any other time, and considering you live in Connecticut and drive on snow and ice in the winter, I would give the suspension a thorough check first. Next I might next check the air intake, MAF, etc. as a bad injector or coil will often put the car in limp-mode. good luck.
