    Hello,
I have an issue with my 97 e39, too. We already found out that the DME (ms41.0) and the EWS3 lost it's sync in a different forum. Nobody could help me and explain to me, how to fix that (yet). How do I sync them? I have INPA and ISTA running on my pc perfectly fine. I have seen the sync option in a YouTube video with a guy who had an e46 with m54 engine but this option is not present in my case. Is it my version of INPA? Do I just need to edit some kind of .ini file like for the home screen? Do I need a different version? Can someone please help me? Also I'm kinda new to all this stuff so please take it a little slow on me.

    Cheers

What version of INPA are you using?
I’m 99% sure mine is 5.0x and it will sync the EWS.
    I can check it tomorrow.

It's version 5.0.6. I got it from this video. I have a link to a German version as well. I think it is a different version. I deleted it, because the e46 wasn't present on the home screen. I later learned that I most likely just need to edit the .ini file. I will have a look at it.

I took a look at it. The version I have can sync the ews on MS42 (M52TU) and MS43 (M54). When I select it it posts that it didn't get a connection to the DME but it shows the menu screen. There is the option for syncing the ews and DME. When i select it, it throws two error messages about a failed connection at me which makes sense.

I also tried selecting the E36 with the right DME but it didn't work. Same goes for e38.

Then I selected the e46 with the MS42 and I saw that there is also the option of syncing the two but it didn't get a connection, obviously.

Either there is a bug in version 5.0.6 of INPA or there is a different way to do it.

Does anyone have a link to a different version of INPA?

After hours of struggling with windows XP, my result is, that the issue is the same with INPA 5.0.2. Everything else would be too easy I guess.

Did you do Shift F8 and then pick out the E39?
I just checked out my version, it’s 5.06, it connects to the DME.

Yes, of course. Does your e39 have the MS41 DME? I have the option, too on the newer versions.
