Heater blower and rear window demister problem.

Hi folks,
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
My 2004 e60 525d heater blower/fan has stopped working also along with the rear window demister!

The buttons on the control panel are working fine as checked on dis57 and inpa,
The fan or demister also doesn't work when activated in these diagnostic programs,

Iv read the fan resistor could be the bother but would this affect the demister to?

Also I have read it could be the battery but it reading 12.7v + in the hidden menus,

At a loss guys and don't wanna start throwing money at needless parts!

Any help would be great!
