Questions about oil filter housing gasket replacement and transfer case fluid flush.

Hi everyone, I hope I'm posting this in the right section. We've owned a 2015 X1 (xDrive28i I believe) for about a year which has around 68K miles on it currently - it's my wife's vehicle replacing her '05 X3.

Anyway we recently had the tranny fluid replaced as I'm not a believer in 'lifetime' fluids. So I'd like to know, should we get the transfer case fluid replaced as well?

Also, I keep reading about the oil filter gasket housing on newer bimmers failing and needing an expensive replacement. Is this an inevitable repair we'll have to make sooner or later? Any way to prevent it?

All comments and advice appreciated. Thanks!

Do the transfer case fluid change. Repair the oil filter stand gasket when needed, it's not that expensive.

The oil filter housing gasket is like 5 bucks, it's the labor - about 2 hours that is the cost.
