My wife’s vehicle is not charging correctly, little background so I was driving one day and got a check charging system message I shut car off to see if it would restart and it did just fine. The next day she said she got a eps message. I scanned the car and got over/under voltage code in several modules.more digging and found the new battery installed for about 2+ yrs was never registered. I charged, tested(good) and registered the battery same issue, had alternator rebuilt then replaced same issue. Car starts out charging ok the drops to about 11.6-12.0 volts but with the Dmv control wire disconnected from the alternator it will charge at a steady 14v, sorry for the long post but I’m stumped at this point. How ever I did just get ista+ to help with the diag process
What do you mean you had the alternator rebuilt. Normally you would just get another one in a box. The rebuilt alternator could also be bad. We have had that happen before also ac leakage if it's to much can also cause problems
