    Picking up 750 Li Tomorrow

Hi all, I am going to hopefully pick up a Black/White 2014 750 LI tomorrow with just about every feature. Out of warranty with 60k miles but I got it PPI'd by BMW and it looks perfect. I would rather learn from my old mistakes and buy something used out of warranty as that would have saved me a lot of depreciation money. I currently have an 09 S63 AMG and 2012 Range Rover, both of which I purchased brand new years ago when I was younger and stupider. The past few years they have been giving me $2500 bill after $2500 bill and I am starting to get sick of it. Every routine service turns into $2500. I am thinking the 750LI will not be cheap to maintain, I understand that, but should be much more reasonable. Am I wrong in assuming that?

I want a nice luxury car I can drive for the next 10 years or so and just enjoy, and the 750Li is an excellent machine. I get that things can occasionally break, but how many of you have been consistently spending $10,000 a year on maintenance? That is what I want to know before I purchase as that is what the Range Rover and S63 each end up costing me and I am only looking to switch cars in order to save some money.

    Thanks
    Raj

    Hey Raj,
Congratulations. Please read what the issues are with this type of car, specially with the mile range you are buying. I will make sure the car is not burning oil and if possible to purchase a third party warranty. My 750 is in shop for engine chnage due to excessive oil burning issue. Beside that it is an awesome car. Mine has 69K miles. Good luck.

If you're looking to switch cars to save money, you're going in the wrong direction. Did you do ANY research on the F01/02 vehicles with the N63 engine? Yours will have an N63TU, which is only marginally better than the first N63. $2500 repair bills are normal. The car cost $100k new, or more. You're maintain a $100k vehicle, not a $25k vehicle. There's a reason second hand 7-series BMW's can be had so cheaply.
