Well, other than the fact that it's inaccurate and poorly written, I suppose it's a good thing that the 8er is being recognized. His basic premise is correct -- find a good one and it's treasure, buy a neglected one and it will be a money pit.

Chase - Heroes to a generation
As some who own 2 of 5 cars on this list (a 94 840ci & 03 CL55 AMG), I’m in the “these are a good buy”camp assuming; you buy well and can complete most of your own repairs. Love my 8 series and daily drive my cl55, having put almost 15k miles on it in 6 months!
I have two cars on this list- the '91 850 and a 2002 CL600. The CL600 is a pretty car and I get many positive comments when I take it out, but.....it can be a demanding Mistress.
