    First post, need assistance, thanks

I have a 2005 X3 and I have changed the headlight bulbs a few times myself. Local shop asked $250 for the work.

Anyway, I usually pop the cover and dig my hand in, turn the red/black box, assuming those are the HID lights. I change the bulb and then spend a huge amount of time trying to get it to sit and lock properly inside the housing.

So after all that, my question is, how hard is it to pull the whole headlight assembly out so that I can more easily change the bulb.

Is there a DIY on here? Videos I have seen for the X3 are just a turn the bulb and replace. And my car has something different.

    Thanks for your help
