hi all
My car stopped on the road few days ago , i was able to turn engine on again just for few secound then engine is off . After 30 minutes i was able to keep engine on for about 30 secounds then again is off
Today in the morning i wanted to check if cold car is still alive but nothing , i can only hear crank, crank, crank , i trying 30 secounds but still only crank and engine wont start.
I got two error codes:
-camshaft sensor bank 2
-crankshaft sensor
question is :
where to start ? if i will disconnect one camshaft sensor then my engine should start ? of course if it problem with camshaft sensor ? i know this ,,trick'' works with engine with only one camshaft sensor , what about my engine where you have two cam shaft sensors ? it will work ?
or it just crankshaft sensor problem ?
sorry for my english

What are your actual codes?
A bad cam sensor shouldn't prevent the engine from starting however a bad crank sensor will.
its german
-nockenwellengeber bank 2 - camshaft sensor bank 2 -> error accurances 18
-kurbelwellengeber - crankshaft sensor -> error acccurances 2
Engine is no longer dead...... strange story but i will try to explain with my poor english
Car was used for two years only in short distances , 4 km in one way and 4 in another way anyway so there is result....
we replaced both sensors -camshaft and crankshaft but engine is still dead so we decided to check engine compression and...... 1 cylinder 1 bar , 2 cylinder 3 bar , 5 cylinder - 8 bar , 6 cylinder 5 bar , 7 cylinder , conclusion ... engine is dead but mechanic told me that he had many causes where cars were used on short distance and losted compression just like that coz over grease cylinders. So.... i decidet to try turn engine on again and......... engine is on then immediately i push gas pedal down ..... 3000 rpm , 5000 rpm i keept engine like this for about 20-30 minutes and everything is smooth and ok . anyway there is no longer crankshaft sensor error code afted sensor replecament.

Moral : take the car on a long drive of about 100 Km weekly...
You kept your engine running at 5000 rpm for 20-30 minutes? YIKES!!!!
Did you do another compression check after?
Problem solved
Yes , we tested only 3 cylinders after engine warm up and everything was fine , in friday boss wanted to close garage so we didnt get more time to test but now engine is like new.
Today again car didnt want to start again sensor camshaft bank 2 code on my computer and guees what cause problem with sensor error and no engine start ? engine computer plug under hood yeah guys . I found out that plug is dirrty , something like green oil or something , hard to describe it , it means that camshaft sensor had no proper connection with engine computer. we cleaned engine computer plug with special plug spray and engine is like new, there is no longer sensors error code , everything is ok now. yeah , so there was no need to buy new sensors so i wasted 200 euro for nothing but at least my car is ok again

That green oil stuff on the dme plug sounds to me like its been wicking the coolant fluid up the wiring to the dme.
