Anyone have enough experience with a race harness for a 3 channel ABS system to lend some advice?
How many fuses do I need to include? On the ETM, there shows a 5 amp, 15 amp, and 30 amp. Do I need all three or can it be simplified to a single fuse?
Do I need to buy a special relay or will any generic 30/40 amp Bosch relay work?
Is there any way I can wire the diagnostics wires (incoming/outgoing) into my OBD2 plug for a particular diag reader or do I need to track down an x20 and buy a x20 scanner?
Thanks very much in advance for any input! Looking forward to having ABS for the first time in a LONG TIME.
The 30 amp is for the pump, keep that separate. The other 2 can be combined. Nothin special about the relays, but the OE ones are really quite good.
Going to all this trouble, I would be really tempted to do 4ch, even the MK60 form a e46 (non M) is worlds better than the crappy 3 channel e36 one. I build the harness for a 4ch from a stock harness, it's not that bad, just time consuming like all other wiring jobs
Wish I had a spare harness to use! Having to wire it all in myself.
Anyone with a scrap/junk/cut engine harness for a 3 ch system want to hook a driver up?
Looked at different systems and may very well upgrade to a 4 channel in the future, but bought another BFC's hardware for so cheap I couldn't pass it up. Already way too deep into this build considering it's just an HPDE toy!
Thanks for the input Scotch!
