I picked up a set of staggered E38 M pars for the wagon...to include the spare. Currently in the “parts shed” until they get refinished.

    I had e38 staggered Style 37 MPars mounted on my 99 540iT...235/40/18 (front) & 265/35/18 (rear):

And this past December...pulled the same wheels above out of my shed (been there since 2012) and repurposed them as winter tires for my f06 650ix. I was stunned after running the numbers and doing a test fit...that they actually fit over the f06's brake calipers and didn't poke out too far since the offset range for the e38 and f06 are NOT the same. I really thought the front MPar (13mm offset) wasn't going to work since the f06's front wheel had a 33mm offset. But after running the numbers and doing some fitment tests...it worked out...and the rolling circumferences etc are all within spec:

(excuse the dirty car, wheels, & tires...pic was taken right after having them mounted)

Which adapters did you go with and what was the size of the spacer? I thought about trying to get a set bored out, but adapters sound simpler. Your set up is exactly what I'm looking for. What size tires are you running?

These are the adapters I purchased from
eBay they’re 12 mm and fit well. I could only find one local shop that would bore out the wheels and they wanted 90 bucks a wheel, nearly the cost of the wheels themselves so I went the route of adapters. Tires are stock sizes of 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 in back. Some other pictures for your enjoyment

    EDIT forgot the link: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F132915552364

Looks amazing! I wish my 540 looked half that good. Thanks for all of the info. Are you stock sport ride height? I have about a 1" drop (from non-sport) using Bavauto lowering springs on the front and reprogrammed SLS on the back. I'm not sure I can justify $1,500 for wheels, spacers, tires right now.

Thanks man. Here’s a before shot when I bought it. Car was ROUGH and still is. I primarily just use it to haul crap around and play with the m5 mostly. The front has some lowering springs on from previous owner, looks like a 1.5-2” drop but I don’t know the brand and Rear I lowered with INPA. I picked up the rims for 400, rear tires for 100 (used) and fronts I had as take offs from my 530, and spacers 100 bucks. Mounting was 60. I did all this on a budget since I bought the car pretty cheap. E38 Mpars are pretty easy to find and aren’t very expensive. For some reason people are afraid to run hubcentric adapters but it hasn’t been a problem for me
