Hello all,Im new to the forum and am looking at purchasing a 2005 Z4 and am wanting to know what to look out when I inspect it. Any insight would be very much appreciated. The car has 66K miles and looks very good but as we all know looks can be deceiving.
They are usually very good, so check out the normal wear and tear issues, look under neath for rust, salt on roads use etc.
If its a roadster, check that the top goes up/down properly. Ask/check to see if the top motor has been relocated to the trunk/boot. This is a good thing if it has.
Good luck with the purchase.

There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
Good evening sir! I'm too looking at buying a 2012 Z4 35is. I'm doing my research on average price for maintenance. Also found some trouble with the turbos. It would be good idea to check on recalls. I'm new to the forum and I hope this helps! icemanone
I asked this a while back and really didn't get much of a response. If you are looking at a 2003-2008 this is what I found out.
