    Can't connect to DME

I've just bought a new tune which seems to perform well but I've been having some issues with DSC and ABS. I'm trying to diagnose with protunelogger software and INPA cable. I seem to be able to read DTC codes but when I try to connect for datalogging I get packet error or DME not responding. So I think pin 7 which is a standard for all cars is working but maybe there is an issue with pin 8 of the OBD2 connector and associated D_TXD1 wiring. I see only about 9V at the connector but I think I'm supposed to see closer to 12V. I assume the DME is functioning as it has just been programmed.
Should I start trying to disconnect components on the D_TXD1 line to help debug. Not quite certain if that's where I should start.

Hi, this post seems stale, so perhaps you have rectified your problem in the meantime. I am unfamiliar with your particular software setup, but I would make a strong overall suggestion to make sure you have a power supply/battery charger in your loop. I have many things fail or go halfway without correct voltage, including full writes to DMEs. If your getting 9V anywhere, make sure you power supply is kicking out 13.7-ish, clean contacts, and re-test for voltage prior to continuing.

I don't know if this is pertinent to your situation, but it has been something that I have overlooked.

    Thanks for the help.
It turns out Frank Smith tuning software needs a license file to datalog which I didn't have. I was thrown because I was also having issues with my bluetooth obd reader and assumed it was a similar problem. I'm a master at wasting time
