First post in a long long time.
New to us F10 530d. Had it for about 3 weeks.
Is there some way of limiting how far the doors open. They open so far I have to lean out to grab the door pull.
We have narrow public car parks and I'm finding them a bit of a liability.
Is there any easy adjustment, or shorter limit straps available.
Thanks

Is it possible to slightly change the way you normally close the door? Try grabbing onto the door pull or other stable part of the door prior to sitting completely inside the car...pulling the door closer to you as you situate yourself into the driver's (or passenger's) seat. That way it won't be a long reach for the door since you've pulled it closer to you as a matter of function while getting into the car.
Just a thought.

Thanks, but it's more the opening that's an issue.
I'm 6'3 so have a fairly big wingspan and I have to reach out to grab the pull to close. It's worse for my 5'8 wife who's the 95% driver.
My biggest worry is the kids in the back. With a tail wind the doors can really pull open. We've trained them to get out the passenger side so noone is generally holding the door between the first kid has got out. IMO they could open much less and still give plenty of egress. My big worry is them swinging wide open into the neighbouring parked car, or them opening into the side walls of our garage and we have a 4m (13 foot) wide garage.

Not much you can do about it. It's how the car was built.
