    Need a new radiator

Took my car for a recall today and asked um about my cooliant leaking. They said I need a new radiator. He said it probably wouldn’t be worth replacing it since the car ain’t worth that much. How much does it normally cost to replace the radiator?

That's kind of a bad additude, it's just a radiator for crying out loud, how many miles on the car, have you had to add coolant lately, because if you haven't it could just be a minor staining. Take the car to a good bmw independent shop and have them take a look

It’s got like 135,000 miles on it and I’m having to put cooliant I’m it every other day. It’s leaking bad. Can I put some of that radiator sealer stuff in it and see if that helps?

They also Said my oil gasket looks like it’s about to start leaking. So hopefully my oil don’t start leaking to. Just be more money. I gotta get this radiator fixed first.

Go to radiators.com and you'll be surprised how little an aftermarket replacement costs.

    Oil filter gaskets are owner-replaceable.

You can buy the parts and the tools needed and use both repairs as "learn mechanical skills" execises.

Of go to an indy shop, not the dealer. That will cut the cost in half.
