WTB: GregK or Kmac rear swaybar

Looking for a larger rear swaybar for my early 850i. Understand that I can fit either the GregK or Kmac bar, but that they are NLA new. Anyone have a used one that they are willing to sell? Thanks.

As one of Greg's original customers, I can tell you he was pretty particular about balancing front and rear to reduce but not eliminate understeer. You sure you want to do just rear?

I am currently refurbishing the rear suspension so focused on getting the rear bar right now, but would entertain purchasing both front and rear bars. My plan has been to use the CSI front bar when I finish up the rear refurb. The car currently rides on M-tech 'low slung' suspension with stock bars. The later model front K-member would also be nice, but understand it is also difficult to find as well. So it goes with older cars!

Stefan Dwornik in AZ purchased the K-bar tooling and was selling these a year or two ago. You might try contacting him at stefandwornik@msn.com.

I purchased a set from him and found him to be quite rsponsive and helpful.

Thank you for the information. I have reached out to see if the bars are still available and will reply with the result.

Yes they are available from Stefan at the email address posted above. I purchased both front and rear and received them very quickly. I am still working on getting my suspension refurb completed and still don't have them installed, so can't yet comment on how well they work. For early models like mine, there is a small bracket supplied by Stefan that needs to be welded onto the subframe, but was really no big deal.

Thanks, Rich8! I spaced up the brackets about 3/32" with some washers under the brackets and bolted them down without the bar or rubber mounts. This allowed for a small amount of clearance since the rubber bar mounts held the bar off frame. Then I used large C clamps to hold the reinforcement brackets in place for welding. I decided to have subframe and several other pieces powdercoated and I also refinished some of the parts myself. I have some adjustable swaybar links to install once subframe is back in car.
