    M44 flywheel + M52 clutch?

Long story short I had an engine swap + manual conversion planned on a 98 318i and the engine isn’t going to arrive in time for the project. So, I’m just going to do the manual conversion. I sourced a Getrag 250 from a 325i, a 318 manual driveshaft, and an M44 flywheel. However, I have the M52 clutch kit I was planning to use on the M52 and ZF tranny I was going to swap in.

Can I use the M44 flywheel with the M52 clutch or is that a no go? Do I need to buy an M44 clutch kit to go with the flywheel or an M52 flywheel to go with the clutch?

Also, I don’t have the vibration dampener BMW used on the M44 + manual trannys. Can I go without it given that I’m using a dual mass M44 flywheel (vibration dampening on it’s own)?

Can I also reuse the auto guibo I have on the car with the Getrag trans?

    Thank you in advance.
