I recently inherited my mom's '09 X5 3.0 after she passed from cancer last year.

I decided to keep "Reggie" for two reasons. (1) I'm a car guy and test drove it with her when she bought it new. She loved her X5 and always took good care of her. (2) Our daily drivers ('16 C7 Vette and '12 Regal GS) don't have much room. Its nice to have an SUV. Plus I've had two bimmers before (an E36 was my first new car) - straight 6 baby - nothing smoother.

After searching many threads I want to thank the forum for helping me in three areas:

- I installed the LUX H8 180 bulbs. While the body of the E70 still looks modern, the yellow halo's were dating her. What a great upgrade.
- My Oil Filter housing gasket (towards the front of the car) was leaking. Easy fix based on comments here.
- The fuel pump relay was failing. It would never start consistently in cold weather. Hard to diagnose but an easy $20 fix.

I'm just posting a thanks because I'm active in my C7 forum and while we lurkers don't always post, we really do appreciate the time and effort you regulars put into commenting and solving problems.
