Hello everyone. In my 1997 520i there was casette radio without MID and any audio-video equipment in trunk. I bought used MK3 navi system with 16:9 monitor, radio, tv and wired telephone and installed it in car. System is working, but few things are not working well because of fact that navi and telephone modules are not added to SA.
I have been using previously NCS Expert and NCS Dummy to activate/deactivate some functions by MAN file, but I failed to find any solution in Google how to add new equipment to SA. Just found information, that it should be done with NCS Expert. Can someone give me any advices how do it?
In case of need, I have also BMW SCANNER 1.4 (PA Soft).
Greetings
I am bored so I am replying to lots of posts today
When I did my 16:9 swap it was all plug and play except the fact that my car had DSP
I had to recode my DSP amp to work with the nav so it didnt shut off every few minutes ( google will yield you quick instructions on this) once thats done you're pretty much set
you could technically rewrite the ZCS of your car to show you have retrofitted the nav ( this year verison of our cars use ZCS not SA)
I WANNA say ISTA-P also allows you to "retrofit" nav in its module selection area but it doesn't code the DSP amp (at least it didnt for me i had to use NCS to do the DSP amp coding)
