The instrument panel on my 2001 BMW X5 4.4i was illegible so I remove one from a compatible 2006 X5. The 2006 X5 was in a junk yard and the airbags had inflated. When I installed the 2006 instrument panel, the "ABS/BRAKE and WARNING" logo were all lit up. I had my car diagnosed by 5 different shops and none of them could tell me anything was wrong with my car and there was nothing wrong with my "ABS SYSTEM" None of the shops could deactivate the lights (3) on my instrument panel or reset the ABS warning lights.
If the air bags inflate, does it render the instrument panel useless? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanx - James
