    torque values chain guides

    Hi everyone,

If anyone can help I'm been searching and have been successful for finding torque values. What I'm looking for are some torque settings for a timing chain job on my 540i m62tu engine. I haven't found torque values for tightening the chain guides, camshaft tensioners, oiling rail on the cams & vanos cover ( I think that's what its called I have a timing kit that came with vanos check valves and gaskets and was thinking about changing this all together).

    Thanks

Beisan Systems has all the upper end stuff: http://beisansystems.com/procedures/..._procedure.htm

GAS has the actual guides and timing procedure: https://www.germanautosolutions.com/..._tools_diy.php

I see thank you! I'm not sure unless I missed it for the torque value on the oiling rails? Is that just snugged up? these are the rails on top of the cams.

It's way deep in the Beisan DIY, I just used the search function:

    Install 5 mounting nuts at each oil rail (10mm deep socket 3/8” / 3/8” ratchet, 10mm ratcheting wrench).Fully tighten, 8 Nm (6 ft-lb) (10mm deep socket 3/8” / 3/8” torque wrench, 10mm ratcheting wrench).

Thanks again, I'm just about ready to break into this
