    ECU Remap: F22 220d Auto

    Hey guys,

I’m thinking about getting the ECU on my 2017 220d Auto remapped because it’s a lovely engine and gearbox, but I feel I’d like a little more power. I’ve seen some pretty promising power and torque increases when I look around, but a little more googling and I find that some people have had little benefit from a remap, and others say that the Auto gearbox was giving some really nasty gear changes. Having said that, some people have said they got amazing results.

I thought I would hop on here and ask the question myself; how people have found remapping the ~2017 190bhp diesel with the 8 speed gearbox, whatever car it’s in (assuming they all react the same) please?

    Cheers!

240-245hp and 400ft-lbs (550Nm) of torque here on F31 N47tu motor with the 8 speed auto and it's perfectly fine. The transmission works perfectly with it.

Of course it depends how good the tuner is. I have worked on my tuning keeping it in the same exact style factory did it, so I attribute that to why it works so well.
Unfortunately the tuning world is filled with sloppy work, which makes it harder.

Thanks for the response 328 Power. Any idea what kind of 0-60mph time you have going now? I'd like to get somewhere close to the performance of the 330d I drove recently, which I think was 5.6sec.
