Not sure what of all the things I did to the engine made the difference or if it was all of them added together, but it passed!

How much did the test cost? Smog shops advertise prices and say the price applies to year 2000 and newer, with older vehicles significantly higher. I think around here you can expect to pay $95, whereas as 2000+ could be only $45.

It is $55 here with cert.
But this was a retest so it was $35 with cert.
