Hello everyone,
Long time forum member, new E31 owner. I recently bought a 1995 840Ci. Black with a black interior. 155k. It came with an Eisenmann exhaust that sounds amazing. I have always wanted one of these and it finally happened last weekend. I like to keep progress threads for my cars so I am making one for this car. I am very active in the E34 community (mostly on Facebook now) and have had several E34's (along with many other BMW's). Current E34 stable is a 95 540i M Sport and a 93 525i touring that I have put a lot of time and energy in. The E31 will be no different but it's in awesome shape so I have a good head start with it. I've already read a lot of the FAQ's regarding suspension and whatnot, very helpful
Here she is. I will get better pics when the weather cooperates.
Looking forward to chatting with everyone and learning about these.
Cheers

Congrats, and welcome to the madness. Once infected, never cured!
Also think about going to Sharkfest in April - looks like you are from Georga. It is in Spartanburg.

I've been on the forums a long time. This was an impulse buy but it was well cared for so it was a good impulse buy.
I have been fixing a few little items with the car.
I replaced the Alpine radio with a CD43 and a bluetooth module that connects to the CD changer port. I also fixed the FM antenna plug since the wire was cut. I crimped, soldered, and heatshrunk the new end on so it should not have an issues in the future. The FM works fine so I can listen to talk radio again. The bluetooth adapter is neat and really makes me happy to retain a stock(ish) radio in the car. The Alpine was a very nice radio but it did not flow well with the rest of the console. I've also been fixing a few other small things like replacing some trim and trunk panels on the front wall of the trunk.
I also cleaned up the exhaust tips. Pic of the driver side done. I also cleaned the mufflers up as well. They look a lot better.
I took it to Caffeine and Octane in Atlanta this past weekend as well. The rain held out which was great because who really wants to stand in a parking lot in the rain? A friend owns the MK Motorsport 850i. It's really nice.
The new 8 Series. It looks okay and I like that BMW angled the dash towards the driver again. It's really big though.
Some random pics. I currently own a Dinan 95 540i6 M Sport as well. It makes a great cruiser as well but the suspension is modified (handles amazing for a 5er) so it is not as comfortable as the 840. I will probably leave the suspension alone except for parts that wear out and need to be replaced. Driving the E31 has made me appreciate the stock nature of this car. I also found a 96 Atlanta Olympics tag for the front on eBay, I was in Atlanta for the 96 Olympics and BMW was a sponsor so it made perfect sense to put it on the car. More pics.

Nice 8er you have there...it should be a rite of passage for every BMW fan to own at least one E31!
Your E34 is a stunner, and very rare too, if I'm not mistaken!
