Hello All
Any thought why transmission goes into all proper gears, but the vehicle will not move.

Lift the car, then let someone shift the lever and you watch at the side of the gear if the lever moves or not. Maybe just the bolt lose http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=25_0007
That is step one to check. Report back

Ok will do. I will keep you posted. Thanks
Check your Transmission Fluid Level
Step 3: even when the lever moves, the shift selector valve could be broken, so nothing happens inside the valve body although you believe you shift
Have recently seen several of such problems, especially on 5HP18 and 5HP30, but also 4HP24
5HP18; 5HP18A; HP19; HP19FL; 5HP19FLA; 5HP19HLA; HP24; 5HP24A;5HP30 ZF 1056 327 173 https://www.thectsc.com/products/sel...alve-84-3.html

They do break. But you can replace them without dropping the valve body. You only need to remove the section that holds the valve. But remember that there is also a section on top of the valve body which is held on by the same screws. It may well stay where it is but to be safe, just insert some longer screws and lower the section with the valve in it, make sure it is hooked up to the lever
