    Electrical fault - 2011 1 series

I have a 2011 1 series coupe, the car had a battery sign got told it was the alternator once it died so I’ve put a new alternator on and still it dies and won’t start or hold anything with it being linked to another car, it’s asif something is tripping it out or causing something to just drain it within minutes, could this be something to do with them being recalled or not ? I’m running out of ideas of to what the problem could be.....when linking the car upto someone else’s there is massive spark when putting the cables onto my car more than usual

Darin, he’s in northern England. I’m wondering if the recall is global. Is there a link to check for the brits?
