We picked up our new BMW X5 this weekend and later noticed discoloration in the paint.

Any ideas on what it is and if it's something we can take care of...
We are 2 hours from our nearest dealer.... so it's not a quick run back to the showroom.
It did come in on a car hauler and was under another car ...

Something dripped from the car above. It looks to be a petroleum based product (low surface tension) because of the liquid spread pattern.
It looks like gasoline damaging the clear coat. You may be able to use a decontamination spray or a degreasing wash. May have to buff the paint there to get rid of it depending if it is on the surface or has gotten into the clear coat. I would have the dealer deal with it and/or pay for that though. Unfortunately if they are very far away I would have a professional detailer take a look and make the dealership pay to have it fixed.
On a $50k plus car, id make the 2hr drive to the dealer to have it corrected
