To my knowledge the front and rear are the same. This may be for a different model.

Is it plastic or metal?
Metal!
Why ask unless you want to buy it?

Hopefully those that are interested should avail themselves of the 11 digit BMW part nbr that was given in the original post...and look it up in one of the online part database sites so that you'll know if it is usable on a BMW you own.

No problem...just didn't want this to blow up into a 5 page fued thread like one of the F15 X5 forums. A regular poster put up a set of rubber mats for sale...but didn't post part nbrs nor pics.
A forum member was looking for rubber mats and bought them (without asking any info...just assumed they were for the f15 since the seller said he was using them).
The buyer received the mats, installed them and noted that they didn't fit. Contacted the seller, and he basically took the stance, you bought them you own them. In this case two wrongs made a big mess. The buyer should have asked more questions instead of buying site unseen, and the seller should have been more forth-coming about what they were selling....especially knowing the specifics about the mats and selling them with that bit of specific information absent from the ad (which you didn't do).
Since the buyer never asked...I asked that a pic of the back of the mats be posted because BMW puts the 11 digit part nbr and sometimes the model that the mats are for...sure enough, the mats have F10 5 series molded into the rubber. I'm not sure why the seller didn't mention that he was selling F10 5 series rubber mats when he was offering them on an F15 X5 forum...and I'm not sure why the buyer never asked for pics and the 11 digit BMW part nbr on the mats so that he could verify that they fit his X5.
Wrote all the above just to say that we expect or assume both the seller and the buyer should do the right thing...but always ask for verification and info in case you are dealing with someone who may not be operating under the same set of values that you are.
BTW, the seller STILL refuses to acknowledge their underhandedness in the transaction. If you get board and want some entertainment...here's the thread on the BimPost F15 X5 Forum: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1589629

^good point with the part numbers. I just read the whole thing from bimmerpost LOL. That seller is nuts.
You make a good point about part numbers. I remember this roundel for sale back in Feb. I thought about it cause I needed one, but figured I'd buy it from FCP. There was no part number or picture posted at first. I didn't realize it was curved!
But this whole thing (bimmerpost thing) does not only teach about part numbers, but also to sell relevant parts to the relevant groups. This emblem doesn't even fit an E38. Why is this posted in the E38 forum???
