Hello
There is a problem with my car, the parking lights wont turn on in the correct switch position.
When the ignition is on, only the normal running lights are on. Both when the lever is pulled half and when its pulled all the way. When the ignition is turned off, the parking lights turn on when the lever is pulled halfway. If I remove the blue relay underneath the dash, the parking lights turn on in both positions, but no running lights.
I tried replacing the switch itself, but that only flipped the problem. New switch causes the parking light to turn on in both positions.. What to do?
All other lights seems to work fine, fog lights, blinkers, reverse light, full beams... The reverse lights stays on when shutting of the car and removing key, dont know if thats normal.
I tried a black relay with the same numbers, didnt change anything. I bought a stock blue relay on ebay that arrives in a few days. If that doesnt fix it, I have no idea.
Thanks
I don't know how the lights in your market are wired so I can't give you specific advice. Most likely they are different than the US ones I'm familiar with. But generally, problems with exterior lights are almost always due to:
1. Corrosion in the lamp socket
2. Corrosion in the fixture's connector
3. Bad or corroded ground
4. Wrong lamp in fixture
