    Market value opinions

    Hello all,
I have been turning the idea around in my head of selling my E21. I simply have too many cars and if I had to pick one to sell I guess it's the BMW.
What are your opinions on the market price of an excellent condition mostly stock E21 with a motor of about 285K on it. Runs and drives fine. $5,000?

Can't wait for that Tom D. guy to chime in and say it's worth $350 and start a firestorm.

    "That Tom D. guy" ?

a quick look at BAT's website shows E21's selling for an average of around 4,500$, but even for that price they are in very good condition and have 100K miles or less.

to claim "excellent condition" with 288K is a pretty big boast.

Those Prius are tanks. Even survive some idiot slam them into a tree.

Two men suffered major injuries Sunday morning when their Prius slammed into a tree along a curvy Rohnert Park road, on Sunday Feb 10, 2019 police said.

honestly, when I sell anything I check out what the prices look like locally on craigslist, offer up and things like that. Then I come up with what I think is reasonable based off the condition of what I'm selling and again based off what the selling prices I see locally. Good luck.

Why the BMW and not the Honda's or Scion?

To get a better idea on what your car would be worth pictures speak louder than words.

Also as a fellow Prius and E21 / E30 owner they all have their strengths. With the Prius being the better daily driver and it's a hatchback and can haul lots of parts in the back.
