I'm thinking to switch back the the stock head unit, which is the C43 cassette, mostly for aesthetics, but also to keep it period correct, also my current CD/DVD/USB player has been glitching badly... But I don't want to remove my sub and amp. Can my local auto stereo shop connect the C43 with the help of some adapters to my Sub and amp system? Or would this be too complicated? pls advise.
Hi,
You can keep an OEM head unit in place and connect to amplifiers yes. Most basic method is to use speaker to RCA converters. Many amplifiers nowadays accept speaker level inputs as well, so check your one does. Ideally, and if Sound Quality is important to you, it's a sound processor that you'd need.
As you are in Los Angeles, please speak to Michael at Method Sound in Costa Mesa and tell him I sent you along
Cheers, Dennis!
