Inpa will show when the ignition and battery are turned on and communicate with the engine and transmission but nothing else. I've read that usually means you need to bridge pins 7&8, so I did and nothing changed. Could this cheap cable be to blame even though it communicates with some things? Com and latency are set to 1. My car is a E46 330ci with a production date of 10/2000.

Although, I don't think that any 330i had a 20-pin port... can you check under the hood for a 20-pin port in your car?
